Fight Club might have been a commercial flop but describing it as a flop and not as one of the most popular cult classics of the 90s is a wild description. Travolta definitely had his share highs and lows in his career especially being big in 1970s with his tv show Welcome Back Kotter and going on to Saturday Night Fever and Greece in 1977 and 1978 and having his career stall in 1980s before comeback in 1990s with Pulp Fiction, Face/Off, Michael and Phenomenon among before his career faltered again with more flops and going from playing heroes to mostly bad guys in more recent years.
